Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA), in collaboration with the Bauchi government, has launched the distribution of crucial educational resources, including digital tablets, textbooks, and blackboards, in a bid to enhance the quality of education across the region.

State focal officer BESDA, Nura Ahmad, confirmed that the distribution marks the final distribution phase and stressed the importance of careful delivery to the designated schools.

He commended the collaborative efforts of various partners, including the World Bank, USAID, and UNICEF, in strengthening the state’s education sector.

Ahmed said with this initiative, Bauchi aims to revolutionise its educational landscape and ensure that all students have access to the tools they need for success.

In his address, the executive chairman of SUBEB, Adamu Duguri, urged education secretaries from all 20 local government education authorities to ensure the proper use of these materials, highlighting their direct impact on both learners and teachers.

“These resources are vital for improving educational outcomes,” he stated, emphasising that any misuse or diversion would not be tolerated.

Duguri said SUBEB will establish a high-powered committee to oversee the distribution and utilisation of the materials. He reinforced that any misconduct, including selling or misappropriating government-purchased items, would lead to legal action against both the offenders and any accomplices.
