Mohamme stated this yesterday while presenting a paper titled, ‘Vocational Training and National Development: The Bauchi State Perspective’ to Course 33 participants of the National Defense College, Abuja, currently on a study tour in Bauchi State.

He said technical and vocational training could reduce youth restiveness and unemployment, which are intertwined with issues like hunger and joblessness.

Mohammed shared his administration’s initiatives, including establishing 18 vocational training centers across the state.

While detailing the significant investments in the education sector and local job creation through infrastructure projects, he stressed the importance of strengthening critical sectors such as health, education and agriculture to complement security efforts and address Nigeria’s multi-dimensional challenges.

The delegation from the National Defense College led by Brig. Gen. Mohammed Sani Usman expressed gratitude to the governor and his team for sharing insights relevant to their study on national security challenges.
