Family and friends recently came together in Lagos to celebrate the traditional wedding of Otutochi “Tochi” Wigwe, the eldest daughter of the late banking executive Herbert Wigwe. She married her partner, Wilson Omogbale Aikhomu, in a private ceremony.
The intimate event brought both families together for a celebration filled with cultural traditions. The wedding featured classic marriage rites, including paying the bride price, signing family documents, and formally handing Tochi over to her husband’s family.
The groom, Wilson Aikhomu, is a Lagos-based investment professional who serves as the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Zoya Admiralty. He is the son of the late Rear Admiral Joseph Omozuwa Aikhomu and the nephew of former Chief of General Staff, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu. Wilson was also a close friend of Tochi’s late brother, Chizi.
The marriage marks a new chapter for 28-year-old Tochi, who now leads her father’s HOW Foundation. Her father, Herbert Wigwe, her mother, Chizoba, and her older brother, Chizi, tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in California on February 9, 2024.
