Seven former governors have arrived in Kano so far to celebrate with the Kwankwaso family. They include Lucky Igbinedion (Edo State), Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi (Zamfara State), Isa Yuguda (Bauchi State), Obong Victor Attah (Akwa Ibom State), Chief Achike Udenwa (Imo State), and Senator Adamu Aliero (Kebbi State).

Also, prominent Islamic clerics, including the national leader of the Izala Movement, Sheikh Bala Lau, and his right-hand man, Sheikh Kabir Gombe, have arrived Kano ahead of the wedding.

Governor Yusuf will serve as the guardian of the bride and give her hand out in marriage to Engr. Fahad Dahiru Mangal, the son of Katsina-based business magnate, Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal.
