40-Year-old Woman, 4 Teenagers Arrested For Robbery In Bauchi

Police in Bauchi have arrested a 40-year-old woman, Maryam Salisu along with four other teenagers in connection with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.

The suspected teenagers arrested are Musa Umar, 17; Ibrahim Mohammed, 17; Bilal Musa, 17 and Idriss Jibrin, 17.

Spokesperson of Bauchi Police Command, SP Ahmed Wakil disclosed this in a statement made available to reporters in Bauchi yesterday.

He said the suspects were arrested following a tip-off about their alleged involvement in organised crime.

“During the operation, police recovered stolen items including two laptops, four mobile phones, three chargers, two flashlights, three bottles of palm oil, a headphone set, a power bank, and an MP3 player,” Wakil said.

He added that investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their activities and their connection to other criminal networks.

Wakil assured that the command remains committed to ensuring safety and justice for all.
