Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two persons in connection to the gruesome murder of a police officer identified as Ibrahim Maizabuwa.

The suspects nabbed include Ezekiel Kefas, 67, and Stephen Zabadi, 44, who hail from Wamsa Suwa Ward in Lamurde local government area of the State.

The spokesman of the Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who confirmed the arrest, said that the suspects were apprehended on November 19, 2024.

He said the son of the deceased, Danlami Ibrahim Maizabuwa, who hails from Gombe State, reported the matter to the Adamawa State Police Command.

“Our investigation reveals that the deceased is a police officer and works in Gombe State.

“He visited his friend, Ezekiel Kefas, who resides at Wamsa Suwa. He was killed and buried in the community,” SP Nguroje stated.

During interrogation, SP Nguroje quoted Kefas as saying that, “My friend came and started destroying properties including pots of soup and water in my house and assaulting people as a result of which women and children raised alarm which attracted thugs who beat him up to death.

“Those who killed him include Yakubu, Suleiman and Kilyobas. They beat him up with sticks to death.
