Indonesia To Establish Artificial Insemination Centre In Kebbi

Kebbi State government has entered into a partnership with Indonesia government to establish an artificial Insemination Centre which will be equipped with state of the art facilities in order to boost livestock farming.

The agreement was reached when the Indonesia Ambassador to Nigeria,  AVM Dr Usra Hendra met with Deputy governor of Kebbi State,  Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida on a  Courtesy Call at  Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi.

The Ambassador told the deputy governor that his country is committed to fostering bilateral relations with Kebbi State in both agriculture and livestock farming.

He added that plans are underway to establish an artificial insemination Centre in the state in order to enhance meat and milk production.

According to him,  this plans followed the recent visit of governor,  Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu to Indonesia country for investment driven which focused on collaboration to promote agriculture and livestock programmes in Kebbi State.

Already he said after reaching the agreement,  Indonesia government has donated Semen and intend to train 50 professional doctors from the state on modern livestock production.

While responding,  the deputy governor of Kebbi State,  Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida who represented governor,  Nasir Idris commended the Ambassador’s visit to the state and also with his good intentions to establish the artificial insemination Centre in the state for the improvement of livestock production.

Senator Tafida also acknowledged the donation of semen and the training of qualified doctors from the state on modern livestock production.

According to the deputy, the propose Centre will be established in Bulasa outskirts of Birnin Kebbi metropolis.
