A fire incident occurred on Thursday at the house of a Bauchi traditional title holder, the Galaje of Bauchi, Alh. Adamu Abba Galaje, razing down the house almost completely.

One of the family members, Aminu Abba who survived the incident with minor injuries, told LEADERSHIP Weekend yesterday that the incident happened at about 10am while family members were busy in the house, situated at Baba Sidi in Bauchi metropolis, when all of a sudden fire flames engulfed the house.

The house was almost completely burnt down when fire service men arrived at the scene who were able to control the inferno from spreading to neighbouring houses.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known but no life was also lost in the incident.

The traditional title holder was the immediate past Northeast zonal coordinator of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
