Bago Gives 30-day Ultimatum On Right Of Way For Road Construction

Niger State Government has given a 30-day ultimatum to property owners affected by the construction of roads and bridges in Minna to give contractors the right of way for speedy execution of the projects.
The state governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, gave the ultimatum after he inspected the ongoing overhead bridges in Minna.

He disclosed that the state government has compensated most of the affected people, and assured that the rest will be paid as soon as all the processes are completed.

The governor, therefore, sought for the understanding of the people while reiterating that the state government would not allow some disgruntled elements to disrupt the projects that were meant to benefit the populace.

He also revealed that the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has also been given 30 days to move its power lines to allow the projects to progress.

Project sites inspected by the farmer Governor were Tunga,Imani Junction, Morris area, Kpakungu, Mobil and Stadium Junction, where he interacted with residents of the areas on the need to cooperate with the contractors.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done so far and said he was optimistic that most of the overhead bridges would be completed by the second quarter of next year.
