Gov Yusuf Sends 6 Commissioner Nominees To Assembly, Sacked CoS In List

The Kano State governor, Abba Yusuf  has sent six names to the State House of Assembly for screening and approval as commissioners and members of the state cabinet.

The names include Shehu Wada Sagagi (former Chief of Staff to the Governor), Dr. Dahiru Mohd Hashim, Ibrahim Abdullahi Wayya, Dr  Isma’il Dan Maraya,  Gaddafi Sani Shehu and  Abdulkadir AbdulSalam.

The request letter of the governor was read by the speaker, Hon. Jibrin Ismail Falgore during yesterday’s plenary.

After careful deliberation, the House agreed to invite the six nominees to appear before the House for screening on Tuesday by 10.00a.m.

The Kano State governor had announced a cabinet reshuffle last week where the governor scrapped the office of the chief of staff, dropped the secretary to the state government, Dr. Baffa Bichi, based health ground and also dropped five commissioners which according to the governor’s spokesperson was to enhance administrative performance and political retool.
