22-Year-Old Man Stabs Friend To Death In Niger

A 22-year-old man, Ibrahim Abba, has narrated how he stabbed his friend, Usman Abubakar of the Sauka-Kahuta area of Minna, over clothes.

Abba allegedly stabbed Usman in the chest, and he was rushed to the General Hospital Minna, where he was confirmed dead.

Narrating how it started Abba said that the deceased took away some clothes his brother bought for him and the deceased told his brother that he (Abba) sold the clothes.

He said it led to an argument between them and in the process, he picked the scissors they used in cutting cannabis and stabbed Usman on the chest.

Confirming this, the police public relations officer (PPRO) Wasiu Abiodun (SP) said police operatives of the Tundun Wada division rushed to the scene at Old Zoo area of Sauka-Kahuta and three suspects were arrested in connection with the incident.

He said those arrested were Ibrahim Abba , Abdullahi Yusuf and Mustapha Mohammed all of Sauka-Kahuta area of Minna.

He said all the suspects are under investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Minna for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
