During the event, the family honoured the two new professors, Alhaji Tahir, a professor of Mathematics at Modibbo Adama University, Yola and Muhammed Mukhtar Aliyu, an associate professor of English at Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi with merit awards.

The family’s first professor is the current vice chancellor of Sa’adu Zungur University Bauchi, Professor Fatima Tahir, who is the first female professor in Bauchi local government.

Presenting the awards to the new professors, a senior member of the family, Bashiru Almustapha, acknowledged their hard work and dedication to academic excellence.

He said the production of three professors from the same family was a testament to the value placed on education.

“The family’s legacy serves as an inspiration to future generations and demonstrates the importance of hard work, perseverance, and dedication to achieving greatness,” he said.
