The faction in a statement signed by Kingsley Aigbonaga, South South representative on Igoche Mark-led board of NBBF, said the disclaimer becomes necessary following the recent approach of these individuals style of issuing worthless, baseless and provocative statements in conjunction with some persons at the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

“The falsehood being peddled, and names dropping are signs of desperation to continue their atrocities against the game with no concrete impactful plans for the future of the basketball.

“The Honourable Minister of Sports, Mr.Sunday Dare had emphatically stated that there were two elections. When was the party at Benin City the chosen one?

“Has the Sports Ministry sold it’s birthright to some individuals who have held down the game for ages?
