Theatre Exposed Opens Call For Submissions To Its 7th Edition

International Theatre Photography Contest, Theatre Exposed has called for submissions for its 2025 and seventh edition.

Themed ‘Theatre As Art’, the context is open to both professional and amateur theatre photographers in several genres – Art Photography, Portrait Photography, and the Movement In Art Photography. There is also the Open Category, whereby participants can submit images under four sub categories – Street Theatre photography, Immersive Theatre photography, and Experimental (Theatre) Photography.

Submissions will hold January 1 to July 1, 2025, while evaluation of submitted work hold July 1 to 31 by an international jury member consisting – Head, Theatre Exposed Council, Georgian photographer and documentarian, Yuri Mechitov; US writer and philosopher, Izya Shlosberg; Estonian theatre photographer and photo artist, Jelena Vilt; Secretary General, National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioner (NANTAP), theatre director and playwright, Makinde Adeniran; Director, Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) and Vice President, ASSITEJ International, Seok-hong Kim; Japan Stage Photographers Society (JSPS); Belarusian photographer and artist, Sergey Zhdanovich, and photographers and previous winners of the competition, Slovenian Darja Stravs Tisu, French Francois Fogel and Bosnian and Herzegovinian, Jovan Vidakovic.

Meantime, voting for the Audience Favourite photo, will hold on Theatre Exposed Facebook page from August 1 to 10. Winners of the contests will be announced on August 19, the day commemorating World Photographer’s Day.

Submissions should be in JPG or JPEG of no more than 1.5mb (2000 x 1500 megapixel). Also, participants can submit across categories but with no more than five photos in four categories. Collages, pictures with inscriptions of any sort, A.I crafted images and images whose copyrights belong to others are prohibited from the competition.
