Speaking during a media roundtable organised by her office, Hajiya Aliyu-Isoga said the beneficiaries, who must be between the ages of 10 and 20 years, would get N15,000 on the transition from primary school into JSS 1 and N25,000 during payment of fees and N10,000 in second and third terms.

“All new intakes into Junior Secondary School (JSS) 1 and Senior Secondary School (SSS) 1 are potential beneficiaries of the cash transfer throughout the implementation period of this programme in addition to the 20,000 students already profiled,” she explained.

AGILE project which is an initiative of the federal government with support from the World Bank targeting 18 states, is being implemented in seven local government areas in Nasarawa State.

She commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for the prompt release of counterpart funds, provision of office and vehicles among others which enabled them to carry out their assignments without any hindrance.
She equally appreciated the media in the state for the unalloyed support in bringing their activities to limelight.

She noted that the training of journalists was aimed at equipping practitioners with the techniques to further encourage the enrollment of more female children in schools.
