Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has said the state’s dislodged leaders can’t distract his administration, describing them as a negligible minority.

Otti stated this yesterday during his monthly media interaction tagged: “Governor Alex Otti Speaks To Abians” for January in Umuahia, the state capital.

“One thing you can take for granted is that this government is out to work for your interest, protect and secure you, and to defend your business,” he assured.

“I am talking about the interest of the larger community, not that of a tiny few. As we do that, you will realise that an insignificant but noisy minority will continue to make noise”.

He argued that the government should not pay too much attention to them because “that is why most times we just ignore the people making noise.”

“As they make noise, we continue to do our work. We did not expect less. Their style is to blackmail first; they will appeal and threaten. They will blackmail.”

According to him, the government’s most important goal is that 99.5 per cent of state residents are happy and supportive of the government.

He further explained that less than one per cent believe things should be done the way they were before to deepen their selfish interests.

Otti added that in the past twenty months, the government had been working around the clock to deliver on its campaign promises and lauded the people “for their massive support for us.”
