The committee will also be mandated to review reported cases, and ensure swift action, complementing the 21-member team working on a National Policy on Anti-Bullying.

In order to facilitate confidential reporting, the government has introduced hotline – 09012660044, email: [email protected] and WhatsApp – 08052536133 to report such cases.

Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa, emphasised the urgent need for effective interventions, citing the psychological impact of bullying on students.

Director, Press and Public Relations in the ministry, Boriowo Folasade, who disclosed this, reiterated the Ministry’s zero-tolerance stance on bullying, urging school administrators, teachers, parents, and students to support the initiative.
