In a continued effort to promote youth empowerment and skill development in the oil and gas sector, the First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, has announced the successful graduation of 10 young individuals sponsored by her office to pursue diploma courses at the Bauchi Oil and Gas Academy.
These graduates have completed an intensive 18-month training programme, equipping them with the specialised skills and knowledge needed to contribute meaningfully to the industry.
In a statement issued yesterday by her media aide, Murjanatu Musa Maidawa, she said, to further support their career growth, the first lady has provided each graduate with a startup capital of N50,000.
Statement added that, “This financial support aims to empower them to start their own ventures or apply their expertise within the oil and gas sector and related industries.”
Aisha Bala Mohammed emphasised the importance of education and empowerment as key drivers of progress.
“These graduates have worked hard to acquire specialized knowledge, and it is my sincere hope that the training they have received, along with the financial support provided, will enable them to contribute positively to the economy and create opportunities for others,” the wife of Bauchi State governor stated.
The Bauchi Oil and Gas Academy, known for its comprehensive curriculum designed to meet the evolving demands of the industry, played a crucial role in equipping these graduates with essential skills.
“This initiative reflects the First Lady’s unwavering commitment to youth development and the advancement of human capital in Bauchi State,” the statement concluded.
