The man was not listening, as he brought up his own argument, “It doesn’t matter madam, how much am I making from this trip? Farida told us how she kept silent all through the trip, Farida that was good at telling people off, maintained silence and watched as the man continued to complain and hiss at every chance he could, while in the hold up and whenever he drove into a pothole. When eventually they got to Farida’s home, she handed him the money initially agreed upon and alighted from the car with the things she had bought. The man began to complain, “Madam, I tell you say your money don add o.” Farida ignored him completely going into the compound and shutting the gate and thinking, ‘what a nuisance! Some people should not be allowed into the cab business.’
