Governor Mai Mala Buni, represented by the Head of the State Civil Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector and providing a solid foundation for future generations.

He emphasized that the scholarship program is part of the state’s broader educational revitalization initiative, aimed at enhancing learning across all institutions, urging the beneficiaries to uphold discipline, embrace hard work, and remain dedicated to their studies.

Governor Buni further explained that the state government will spend N2.5 million annually on each of the 890 students, amounting to N15 million per student over six years.

“The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, uniforms, books, and living expenses,” Buni disclosed.
