Myself and Farida were at the supermarket yesterday to get provisions and fresh fruits to break fast later in the evening. I was checking out a bottle of juice drink to gift Farida’s daughter when I almost fainted at what the price had jumped to from about N2500 to a whopping N3000?!

At least that’s what was written on the shelf. I took it nevertheless to pay at the till with all the other items I bought. Just to be double sure about the price of the juice drink I asked the Sales lady to check the price again and let me know. She smiled and scanned the barcode looking up at me to say, “It’s 3500.”
