A former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Yekinni Adeojo is dead.

LEADERSHIP learnt that the prominent Ibadan, Oyo State-born businessman and politician died in Ibadan in the early hours of Friday.

Adejobi, the Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland contested the 1999 governorship election of Oyo State under the PDP, which he lost to late Alhaji Lamidi Adesina of the Alliance of Democracy (AD).

Adeojo was one of the founding members of the PDP in Oyo State and the father of Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, the current Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government.

This newspaper gathered that the late politician and businessman will be buried on Friday in Ibadan according to Islamic rites.
