This window is open and we are appealing for able men and women to assist.”

The IGP further stressed that manpower had been a great challenge in the Nigeria Police Force, and the police were making efforts to increase its strength to end banditry and other related crimes.

“We are all aware of what happened last year when we lost a whole year because of some controversy between the Police Service Commission and the Nigeria Police Force, but we have moved forward since then and now recruited 20,000 police personnel, we have passed out 10,000 and 10,000 are undergoing training and will pass out before the election,” he said.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari thanked the IGP for commissioning the edifice as he assured him of the state government’s continued collaboration and unrelenting support to succeed in the fight against criminals in the state.

He however advised the police to enforce their legal unit at the state level for the speedy administration of justice, adding that the state government was working with relevant stakeholders digitally to track factors responsible for the delay of justice and ensure a slick process.
