2027: Ebira Women Unveil Campaign Materials For Tinubu, Ododo, Bello

As the 2027 elections approach, a sociocultural group, the Ebira Vonya Women Association, Lokoja, yesterday unveiled campaign materials in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and former governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, towards securing victory in the 2027 elections.

The colourful event, held at the Children’s Amusement Park in Lokoja, attracted hundreds of association members from across Kogi Central and Lokoja.

The materials, comprising banners, T-shirts, face caps, and posters bearing the images of the political leaders, were unveiled by the Kogi State Auditor-General for Local Government and the chairman of the Forum of Auditors-General of Local Government Councils in Nigeria, Hon. Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege, popularly known as Fancy.

Adabenege, while unveiling the materials, commended the association’s leadership and members for what he described as a bold and timely expression of support for the leaders.

He said the initiative demonstrated the association’s commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its political leaders.

“I commend the leadership of Ebira Vonya Association for this show of love and solidarity.

This is a clear demonstration that Ebira people know where they stand. We are standing with President Tinubu, we are standing with Governor Ododo, and we are standing with our supreme leader, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello,” he said.

The auditor-general also commended the association for its support for Bello’s senatorial ambition, describing the former governor as a political leader who, in his view, laid the foundation for the current peace and development in the state.

Speaking at the event, the president of the association, Hajiya Rukayat Ajoge, said the decision to support Bello’s senatorial bid was deliberate.

She said, “Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello is our supreme leader, our political father and our senatorial candidate under the platform of APC. We cannot talk about 2027 without talking about him.

“We are assuring him that Ebira Vonya Women Association is fully behind his ambition to represent Kogi Central in the Senate.”

Ajoge said the association believed that Bello’s experience as a two-term governor and his proximity to the federal government would enable him to attract more development to Kogi Central if elected.

According to her, Tinubu, Ododo and Bello represent continuity, stability and progress for the state. The event featured Ebira cultural songs and dances, while members of the association also chanted solidarity songs in support of the APC.

The women offered prayers for President Tinubu, Governor Ododo and Bello and called on Ebira sons and daughters to remain united ahead of the 2027 election.
