The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu is collaborating with LEADERSHIP Group Limited towards empowering two million Nigerians.
This followed a visit by the management of LEADERSHIP Group Ltd to Mrs Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, yesterday.
According to a statement by the media aide of the First Lady, Busola Kukoyi, on Tuesday, the chairman of LEADERSHIP Group Ltd, Mrs Zainab Nda-Isaiah pointed out that she had been closely observing the First Lady’s humanitarian efforts nationwide.
Mrs Nda-Isaiah felt it was timely and essential to express gratitude for her service as the “Mother of the Nation.”
She commended the First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, for her tireless advocacy for the less-privileged nationwide.
Meanwhile, the vice chairman of LEADERSHIP Group, Mike Okpere, briefed the First Lady on the company’s ongoing charity initiative and called for a strategic collaboration with Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
RHI aims to empower 1,000 individuals, each of whom is expected to mentor and uplift four others, ultimately targeting the empowerment of 2,000,000 Nigerians.
According to Okpere, the initiative will focus on providing practical skills in various sectors of the economy, including tie-and-dye, fishing, tailoring, and more.
He said the goal is to help individuals achieve financial independence and become productive, contributing members of society.
The First Lady welcomed the initiative and assured the delegation of her willingness to collaborate with tLEADERSHIP, especially in areas that promote empowerment and sustainable development.
While expressing gratitude for the visit and the consistent support shown by LEADERSHIP Newspaper over the years, the First Lady noted that the task of helping and supporting Nigerians cannot be done by the government alone but with the collaborative efforts of everyone.
