Justice Obiora Egwuatu gave the order in a judgment in which he held that Uzodinma did not win the APC senatorial primary election conducted on May 18 and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The judge ruled that evidence presented before the court established that former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha won the majority of votes cast at the primary.
Egwuatu consequently ordered the APC to recognise Okorocha as the winner of the primary and forward his name to INEC as the party’s candidate for the Imo West Senatorial District election in the 2027 general elections.
