Patience Danladi, a 36-year-old resident of Tambari Housing Estate, reported the case to the police after noticing unusual behavior in her niece, Grace.

After noticing unusual signs, she discovered that the girl had been sexually assaulted by Amusu.

In a statement issued yesterday, the command’s spokesman, CSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, confirmed that operatives dispatched a detective team to the area, leading to Amusu’s arrest.

Wakil disclosed that the victim received medical care at Bayara General Hospital and that Amusu confessed to the crime during interrogation.

In a separate development, the police arrested 26-year-old Johnson John, a resident of Gwallameji, for allegedly trafficking a 19-year-old woman, Cecelia Cosmos, for prostitution.

According to the police, Johnson lured Cecelia on April 12, 2025 under the pretext of offering her a job in Lagos State.
