ALX Nigeria has unveiled Creative Tech Lite, a new initiative designed to equip the continent’s creators with in-demand digital skills.

Touted as a game-changer for Africa’s creative economy, Creative Tech Lite offers specialised tracks in AI for Creatives, Music & Audio Production, Content Creation, and Graphic Design. The programme aims to close the gap between traditional creativity and modern technology, preparing emerging and established creators for the digital future.

The country general manager of ALX Nigeria, Ruby Igwe, who made the announcement during an ALX showcase event in Lagos, said Tech is no longer just about code, it’s about creativity, adding that Creative Tech Lite is placing Africa’s creatives at the center of the global digital conversation.

The initiative is expected to unlock new career paths for artists, musicians, storytellers, and designers—sectors that have often been underserved in traditional tech training programmes.

Beyond technical instruction, Creative Tech Lite also promises community-building, mentorship, and project-based learning to ensure participants are not just skill-ready, but also job-ready.

“We’re not just launching programmes—we’re igniting a purpose. Everything we do at ALX is about transforming talent into scalable impact across the continent,” the country marketing manager at ALX Nigeria, Seun Babajide, added.

The event also shone a spotlight on ALX’s flagship Pathway Programme, powered by the Mastercard Foundation. Recruitment & activation manager, ALX Nigeria, Oluwatoni Ajewole, introduced a moving documentary featuring stories of the seven Nigerian recipients awarded full scholarships to pursue further study at ALCHE in Mauritius. Their testimonies brought the room to a hush, followed by tears, applause, and heartfelt connection.

“My father once said, ‘Why go to school when you’ll end up in the kitchen?’ But I took a $5 chance on ALX… and now I’m heading to Mauritius on a full scholarship,” shared Peace Chidinma Chukwuka, one of the scholars.

Another awardee, Ayomide Samson Ajayi, recounted how he overcame personal tragedy—losing his entire family in a motor accident—before finding renewed hope through ALX.
