2025: Yobe Pilgrims Commission Announces First Hajj Flight For May 16

The executive chairman of the Yobe State Pilgrims Commission, Alhaji Mai Aliyu Usman, has announced May 16, 2025, as the fixed date for the first flight of Yobe pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj exercise.

This announcement was made during a stakeholders’ meeting with fare collectors from the state’s 17 local government areas.

According to Alhaji Mai Aliyu, the inaugural flight, operated by Umza Air, aligns with the schedule released by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Mai Aliyu said the commission has finalised all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful commencement of Hajj operations.

He urged all pilgrims to adhere strictly to the regulations set by both Nigerian and Saudi Arabian authorities throughout the pilgrimage. He further called on the intending pilgrims to cooperate with the commission to ensure a seamless experience.

Alhaji Mai Aliyu also commended the Yobe State Government under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni for its unwavering support in facilitating efficient Hajj operations.
