The agreement, according to MSF, was signed in Birnin Kebbi with the Kebbi State Ministry of Health on behalf of the governor, Nasir Idris.

This development was announced by the MSF project coordinator in Kebbi State, Mr Huggins Madondo, while chatting with journalists in his office in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi.

He described the two diseases as the most dangerous to human beings, particularly children and adults.

Madondo, therefore, advised people to feed their children fresh food that contains the required vitamins and also warned against overcrowding while sleeping.

As part of the agreement, the MSF coordinator disclosed that 400-bed capacity facilities were established across the state to mitigate malnutrition.

He also said that MSF is a mobile hospital comprising various professionals from water and sanitation, health information, and a host of other health-related fields.

He noted that MSF started treating malnutrition in Kebbi State in 2022, establishing a facility with a capacity of less than 20 beds.

“These beds are called the Bed Therapeutic Feeding Centre (itfc) and the Ambulance Therapeutic Feeding Centre (ATFC), ” Madondo said.
