The chairman of the Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum ( NGF) and Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is currently in Makkah, Saudi Arabia to perform the holy pilgrimage.
In a message he sent from Makkah, the governor prayed for peace and tranquility in Kwara and Nigeria at large.
AbdulRazaq also beseeched Allaah to bless his administration’s modest efforts and investments for sustainable peace, prosperity, and security of various communities in the state.
“After spending a few days in Medina, the exalted city of the Prophet, I feel honoured to again stand at the precinct of the blessed House of Allaah (Ka’abah) to perform my umrah ahead of the 2025 Hajj rites.
“I ask that Allaah accept our Hajj as an act of ibaadah and grant our humble supplications for our nation, Nigeria, our state, Kwara, and our families.
“As our administration works openly and behind the scene with different stakeholders to tackle various challenges of governance, I pray that Allaah bless our modest human efforts and investments — day and night — for sustainable peace, prosperity, and security of our people and our communities.”
LEADERSHIP reports that the governor on Tuesday played host to the state Amirul – Hajj and Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Alebiosu, chairman of the Pilgrims Welfare Board, Prof. Mashood- Mahmud Jimba and the senior special assistant on Religion (Islam), Alh Ibrahim Danmaigoro.
He praised the Amirul – Hajj and leadership of the pilgrims board for ensuring the welfare of the state’s pilgrims in the holy land.
