The absence of the prosecution team in the alleged case of terrorism, attempted murder and malicious damage against the Iyase of Ogwashi Uku, Chief Michael Nwaukoni and four others has again stalled the trial of the case at the Federal High Court, Asaba.

Consequently, the court, presided over by Justice Olufumilola Agbaje, adjourned the case to July 23, 2025.

Before the adjournment, counsel to the 5th defendant in the case, Chief Efe Akpofure, made an oral bail application for his client, following which Justice Agbaje approved the extension of the administrative bail earlier granted by the court to the 5th defendant, Chief Michael Nwaukoni .

Justice Agbaje ordered the prosecution to serve the defence counsel all necessary court processes before the next adjourned date.

Earlier, the defence team in the case marked FHC/Asb/18C/24 had informed the court of their readiness to go on with the case.
