Two of the injured passengers were reported to be responding positively to treatment, while the condition of one of them was critical at the Central Hospital, Warri.

The driver of the commercial bus, Elisha, was said to have sustained serious wounds and was receiving treatment at the hospital in Warri at the time of filing this report.

The fatal accident, according to an eye witness, was allegedly caused by a private japanese made car driver on high speed who ran over two speed breakers and hit the Warri bound commercial bus which rammed into a heavy duty trailer from behind, killing the three passengers in the bus on the spot and injured the other three in the process.

The private car was said to be damaged beyond repair, but its driver survived the accident unhurt and was arrested by the police.
