Special Adviser to the Cross River Governor on General Duties, Barr. Ekpeyong Akiba, has denied the allegation that Governor Bassey Otu was behind the confusion that broke out at Idang Street in Calabar South, prior to the arrival of the Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, to commission an NDDC road project in Calabar, on Friday.

The aide while answering questions from LEADERSHIP on Friday in Calabar said Governor Otu, whom he described as a man of proven integrity, could not stoop low to authorise disruption of the commissioning of a project which he supported.

“Otu is a man who loves development, and as such cannot orchestrate any confusion of any form, talk less of pulling down a billboard that belongs to the president whom he so much cherishes,” he said.
