Gunmen Kill 4 Local Security Guards, Farmers In Katsina

Armed bandits attack has left four Community Watch Corp members and unconfirmed number of farmers dead in Marmara Community of Malumfashi local government area of Katsina State.

The attack which also left several injured occurred in the outskirts of the community on Monday evening.

Security analyst Bakatsine revealed the attack in a post on his X handle, on Tuesday.

He wrote, “ALERT: Yesterday evening, bandits attacked farmers on the outskirts of Marmara community, Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State. Four CWC operatives aiding the farmers were killed, several farmers also killed many others injured.”

LEADERSHIP reports that the Katsina State Government has recently intensified efforts to broker peace deals with armed groups in certain communities.
