Liverpool FC are reportedly preparing an ambitious bid to acquire Nigerian super star Victor Osimhen from Napoli, offering both Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa in exchange.

The Premier League champions view Osimhen as a crucial addition to bolster their attacking options as they gear up for the new season.

Manager Arne Slot is keen on acquiring a new forward to alleviate the scoring burden on Mohamed Salah, especially after Nunez’s disappointing performance last season, where he managed only seven goals across all competitions.

According to sources from Caught Offside, the Reds aim to leverage interest from both AC Milan and Napoli in Nunez to facilitate the transfer of Osimhen. The Nigerian striker, who spent the previous season on loan at Galatasaray, made a strong impression by netting 37 goals for the Turkish giants.

While Nunez struggles to find form since his move from Benfica in 2022, the situation is not much better for Chiesa, who has faced fitness challenges following his transfer from Juventus last summer, managing only one start in the Premier League.
