NASD Trades 2.44m Shares Worth N113.13m In 5 Days

NASD Plc, last week, traded a total turnover of 2.44 million shares worth N113.13 million in 179 deals as against a total of three million shares valued at N31.85 million traded prior week in 111 deals.

The NASD share index decreased by 0.61 per cent to close the week at 3,320.91 points. Similarly, market capitalization declined by N2 billion to close the week at N1.94 trillion.

Meanwhile, the Consumer Goods sector led the activity chart by 84.41 per cent with 1.32 million shares valued at N95.49 million with 89 deals. The Financial sector followed 14.35 per cent with 1.01 million shares worth N16.24 million in 70 deals.

The top traded security contributing 53.12 per cent of volume traded worth N90.33 million for 1.29 million shares in 74 deals was FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc.

Nine companies appreciated in price and three companies declined in price during the week. Geo-Fluids led the gainers table by 9.87 per cent to close at N4.23, per share. Air Liquide followed with a gain of 9.80 per cent to close at N9.97, while AG Mortgage Bank went up by 9.21 per cent to close to 83 kobo, per share.

On the other side, Okitipupa Oil Palm led the decliners table by 9.50 per cent to close at N219.00, per share. Central Securities Clearing System followed with a loss of 2.78 per cent to close at N29.00, while FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria declined by 2.06 per cent to close at N69.38, per share.
