The Mayegun of Ewu Kingdom, Chief Michael Fatoye, described the renowned businessman and estate consultant, Teslim Almaroof, as a man whose life was marked by selflessness, service, and a rare kind of generosity that profoundly impacted countless lives.

In a poignant remembrance message released to journalists in Lagos, Chief Fatoye said that Almaroof, who died five years ago, was a man whose legacy continues to inspire long after his death.

Teslim Adeola Almaroof, who was the head of the Arota/Ologun family in Orile Oshodi, within the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State, died on Thursday, July 2, 2020, after a brief illness.

Almaroof was widely respected for his significant presence in the real estate sector and philanthropic contributions to the community.

Chief Fatoye described him as a rare individual, “a great creature,” whose remarkable empathy and tireless dedication to leadership, community development, and charitable causes earned him a special place in the hearts of many.

Reflecting on his relationship with the late estate mogul, Fatoye remarked that Almaroof played a pivotal role in his life and career.

“He guided me like a true mentor, corrected me like a father, and celebrated me like a friend. His memory lives with me every single day,” he stated.

“Beyond his achievements, Almaroof was revered as a unifier within the Arota/Ologun family and the broader Oshodi community.

“He brought stability and dignity to our family heritage and served as a bridge between tradition and modern leadership,” Chief Fatoye noted.

Chief Fatoye also praised Almaroof’s wife, Mrs. Lilian Margret Almaroof, for her unwavering support during his lifetime and her commitment to upholding his legacy since his passing.

Mayegun called on community leaders and stakeholders to unite and preserve Teslim Almaroof’s memory through initiatives that reflect his values.

“We should build on his foundation, not just in real estate, but in how we treat one another, uplift each other, and lead with honour”, he stated.
