LEADERSHIP gathered that the pioneering sub-national collaboration sets a new benchmark for regional development ahead of the take off of North Central Development Commission

The Niger State commissioner for Communications Technology and Digital Economy, Suleiman Isah, said it was made possible by the establishment of Nasarawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency (NASITDEA) two years ago by Governor Abdullahi Sule and the creation of Niger StatebCommunications Ministry by Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago.

He said the establishment of the institutions by the two states to power digital economy indicated strong political will to transform the states into digitally competitive economies.

The commissioner said the programme would not only enhance employability, but also foster entrepreneurship and economic growth in both states.
