The approval was conveyed through an official memo from the Office of the Head of Service to the commissioner of Finance and Economic Development, which was made available to LEADERSHIP Sunday in Damaturu.

According to the document signed by the permanent secretary, Establishment, Shuaibu Ibrahim Amshi, the implementation of the salary structures took effect from July 11, 2025.

According to the statement, while academic staff will benefit from the revised CONUASS, non-academic staff will receive payments based on the CONTISS II scale in accordance with the minimum wage framework adopted by the state government.

He said this is a significant step in ensuring that the welfare of university staff aligns with national standards, highlighting the governor’s commitment to improving education and workers’ welfare across Yobe State.
