PDP Unveils Candidate For Zamfara Assembly By-election

Zamfara State chapter of the People Democratic Party, (PDP) has presented Mohammed Lawali Kurya as its candidate for the state assembly by-election seat at Kaura-Namoda South Constituency.

Kurya will battle for the seat along with the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who will fill the seat that became vacant following the death of Hon Aminu Ibrahim Kasuwar Daji on April 9, 2025.

He won the PDP primary election held in Kaura-Namoda South local government area of the state.

Addressing journalists after the election, Kurya expressed appreciation to the 18 delegates who voted in the election and extended his appreciation to the other three contestants who withdrew from the contest.

He said he would work with the party leaders and members to ensure it emerge victorious at the election.

Addressing journalists after the PDP candidate emerged, the state party secretary Naziru Ibrahim Rufa’i expressed his happiness on the conduct of the primary and thanked the PDP delegates who came from the party’s national headquarters to witness it.

Rufa’i said the PDP will be victorious in the poll.
