Emmanuel, Adesuwa Crowned Champions Of 46th CBN Tennis Tourney

In a thrilling climax of the 46th Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Senior Open Tennis Championship, Michael Emmanuel and Adesuwa Osabuohien were crowned champions in the men’s and women’s singles categories, respectively.

The tournament held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Tennis Complex in Abuja, where Emmanuel showcased his prowess in the men’s singles final delivering a stellar performance against Ikenna Okonkwo.

After a gripping match, he secured victory with a scoreline of 7-6, 3-6, 6-2, demonstrating both resilience and tactical brilliance.

On the women’s side, Osabuohien staged a remarkable comeback to triumph over Emmanuel Essien in a rain-disrupted final.

After losing the first set, Osabuohien rallied to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, claiming the prestigious title.

President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), Ifeadayo Akindoju, in his closing remarks praised the CBN for its unwavering commitment to the growth of tennis in the country over the years.
