BBN S10: Drama Over Kitchen Management After HoH Jayson Jay’s Announcement

Drama, excitement and argument have begun at the Big Brother Naija Season 10 after introductions by housemates and the first Head of House, Jayson Jay announced kitchen management and food rationing.

The reality show began on Saturday, July 26 , 2025 with the anchor, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu introducing the first set of housemates.

Fifteen female housemates were unveiled with pomp and pageantry including Zita, Mide, Sultana, Doris, Big Soso, Tracy, Ivatar, Sabrina, GG Jasmine, Thelma, Imisi, Ibifubara, Isabella, Joanna and Dede.

The male housemates were unveiled in day two eve as viewers watch and marvelled at the mix of housemates in the house for this tenth season.

The male housemates are Oghenetega Kay Bobo, Mensah of Africa, Kulture, Rooboy, Faith, Victory, Bright Morgan, Koyin, Danboskid and Jayson Jae.

Jayson Jay, a performing artiste and graduate of Lead City University emerged as the Head of House.

After all the introductions and Roo Boy, who is becoming popular in the house, master compering the session amidst hailing, emotional banters and process of forging situationship, Jayson Jay announced that because of the limited resource of food in the house, BB Soso and Oghenetega will be in charge of the kitchen to regulate who cooks.

“I have been to the kitchen and seen all the disorder, and already some of the foodstuffs have finished and Big Brother had to replace it. Therefore as the Head of House, I am appointing BB Soso and Oghenetega to be in charge of the kitchen and regulate how the foodstuffs are used,” Jasyon Jay announced.

But two of the housemates, Imisi and Isabella said they will not accept that as Imisi retorted that no one can stop her from cooking her own food as she would not stand that. Isabella noted same.

“I will not accept that as no one is wasting any food. I will cook what I want to eat. You can’t just order us and make us eat what others are cooking,” said Imisi.

Other housemates tried to calm her and explain that making two housemates – BB Soso and Oghenetega, was to put order and not to stop any housemates from eating what they want.

The HoH, responding to her reaction said, ” that is the announcement and I have not even finished before you went against this, there is going to be a roster and BB Soso and will get others to cook the food. Everyone cannot be cooking and we cannot finish the food before the time. If you don’t accept, maybe you should wait when Big Brother will give a strike or you find yourself in the way out of the door. I have made my announcement and it is for now until further notice,” the HoH responded.
