An indigenous firm, Generative Cad Services Limited has donated three 3D digital printers to three public secondary schools in Abia State.
At the presentation ceremony in Umuahia, the state capital, the chief executive officer of the firm Chukwubuikem Amaefula expressed it’s commitment to educational development of the state.
This gesture is in recognition of the tremendous achivements the state has recorded in the education sector under the administration of Governor Alex Otti,” Amaefula said.
According to him, the benefiting schools had been provided “access and training on the usage of the equipment to enhance effective teaching and learning”.
Receiving the items, the commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Goodluck Ubochi said the donation is in line with the vision of the state government to modernize the sector.
He commended his Science, Technology and Innovation counterpart, David Kalu for attracting the items, and urged the beneficiaries to protect and maximise their use.
Speaking after taking delivery for his school the senior principal, Ibeku High School, Umuahia, Obioma Ekele , appreciated both the firm and the government for the donation.
Similarly, the principal Government Technical College, Aba, Godwin Nworu, appealed to the government to improve infrastructure and enhance power supply in the school for improved activities.
