Inspirational drama, ‘Sarah’s Oil’ scheduled for release on November 7, 2025, is set to motivate young girls to follow their dreams, whilst holding onto their faith with great conviction.

Set in the 1900s, ‘Sarah’s Oil’ is based on the true story of an eleven-year-old African American girl, Sarah Rector, who was awarded a 160 acres land by the State of Oklahoma on account of her ancestors. Although viewed as barren, Sarah believed the land is a potential oil field, and enlists the help of an oil driller to find oil. When her conviction proves true, it draws all sort of people claiming ownership of the land. Holding onto her faith and her new friends, Sarah fights to keep what’s hers, becoming the first African American female millionaire at age 11.

A Wonder Project, Kingdom Story Company and Amazon MGM Studios production, ‘Sarah’s Oil’ stars Naya Desir-Johnson (The Equalizer) as Sarah Rector, Zachary Levi (Chuck, Mrs Maisel, The Unbreakable Boy) as Bertrand Byron Smith, Garret Dillahunt (No Country For Old men, 12 Years A Slave), Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead, Space Jam: A New Legacy).

It is directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh (Infidel) and produced by Andrew Erwin (The Best Christmas Pageant), Jon Erwin (House of David, Jesus Revolution), Zachary Levi and Kevin Downes (The Jesus Music, The Unbreakable Boy), Daryl Lefever (Woodlawn, House of David), John Shepherd (The Drop Box) and Derrick Williams (Heaven Is Real).

Netizens are excited to view an important story that was expunged from America’s history and school texts.
