Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, has called on parents to prioritise their children’s education by ensuring timely enrolment in schools.

He made the appeal at the second graduation ceremony of Dr. Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu College of Health Sciences and Technology, Boto, in Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi yesterday.
Represented by his chief of staff, Alh. Musa Bako, the speaker stressed that the pursuit of knowledge should be a collective responsibility, especially in the health sector which faces shortage of skilled personnel.

He urged parents to embrace their role fully, not only by enrolling their children but also by providing the necessary learning materials to help them excel.

Suleiman further called on school authorities to discharge their duties diligently.
He also advised the graduating students to serve as exemplary ambassadors of their families, communities, and alma mater, engaging only in ventures that would enhance their reputation.

Addressing the challenge of unemployment, the speaker encouraged graduates to volunteer in nearby clinics to gain practical experience that complements their theoretical training before their getting permanent jobs.
