2027: Bauchi APC Supporters Endorse Senator Buba For Governorship

Mammoth crowds of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters from the Bauchi local government area converged on the metropolitan Event Centre, where they unanimously endorsed Senator Shehu Buba Umar for the state governorship in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the endorsement on Sunday, the forum chairman, Hon. Aminu Mohammed Danmaliki, who enumerated various laudable achievements of the Senator in the last two years, including the sponsorship of 500 students into the Malikiya College of Nursing Sciences, Bauchi, to which he was the proprietor.

Hon. Aminu Mohammed, who holds the traditional title of Dan-malikin Bauchi, disclosed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would soon display voters’ registers, and appealed to all eligible voters to ensure their names were in the register.

Danmaliki, a one-time commissioner of information in the state, called on all party supporters to belt up ahead of the 2027 polls to floor the bragging newly yet to be registered ADC political association, and the incumbent PDP government in the state, asking Senator Shehu Buba Umar to declare for the plum seat in the next general elections.

Hon. Aminu, who chairs the Pioneer Leaders’ Committee of the APC Supporters for SBU’s endorsement, assured all party members of inclusiveness in governance and expressed optimism that the Bauchi South Senator would clinch the governorship seat come the 2027 polls.

Also speaking, the Bauchi Local Government APC chairman, Alhaji Sunusi Biyali, recalled that Senator Shehu Buba had last year provided 122 trucks of trailer Lorries of rice, which was distributed across the state, invaluably bringing down the cost of the commodity in the state markets.

Biyali revealed that the Bauchi South district senator has provided 14 trucks of fertilisers for distribution to farmers in his district. In contrast, more trucks are going to Bauchi for onward distribution to farmers.

Alhaji Sunusi Biyali then called on the state government to bring out the fertiliser consignment it had cornered, but which was meant for the state by the federal government for onward distribution to the people.

He wondered how the federal government could provide a large consignment of fertiliser to the state for the current rainy season for distribution to the people, only for the state government to corner the allocation for self-aggrandisement.

 

The motion for Senator Shehu Buba Umar’s endorsement for the governorship in the next elections was moved by Hon. Aminu Mohammed and seconded/ endorsed by the Bauchi, Zungur, Galambi, and Miri districts of the APC in the persons of Alh. Hussaini Baba and Barrister Jibrin Saeed Jibrin.

 

Others in the endorsement are Hon. Abdul Hamid Rufa’i, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammed, Rabi’u Abubakar Bishi, Hajiya Bilkisu Ori, Hon. Muhammed Ladan and Alhaji Shamsuddeen Bala Kaka Lukshi.
