The governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved the reshuffling of the State Executive Council (SEC) to enhance governance and align ministries with the ARISE Agenda goals.

This was contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prince Enobong Uwah, on Monday.

The statement read, “In his determination to strengthen the State Executive Council, align with the ARISE Agenda. HE Pastor Umo Eno, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has approved the reshuffle of portfolios.”

In the reshuffle, Capt. Iniobong Ekong (retd.) has been reassigned to lead the Ministry of Trade and Investment. At the same time, Dr. Ubong Inyang will assume the Commissioner for Lands and Town Planning role previously held by Ekong.

According to the statement, the reshuffle was part of ongoing efforts to ensure effective service delivery and accelerate the implementation of key policies under the administration’s blueprint.
