Consequently, through his constituency projects intervention scheme, he has provided succour to over 4,000 patients affected by varying degrees of ailments.

Launching the eight-day free comprehensive medical and ophthalmological outreach, Etteh urged the people to take advantage of the programme to remedy their various ailments, including sight and other bodily afflictions.

The intervention, which spanned across the four local government areas making up the federal constituency, “has brought hope, healing, and relief to thousands of indigent patients who otherwise could not afford medical care,” according to some of the benefiaries.

So far, LEADERSHIP learnt from the medical record, that the outreach has attended to 1,523 medical and surgical patients, conducted 926 eye consultations, carried out 1,618 laboratory tests, dispensed 914 reading glasses, and successfully performed 57 eye surgeries and 246 general surgeries.
