Leadership Crisis Rocks Enugu APC

Crisis has rocked the Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the authentic leadership of the party.

This is as the Italy APC leadership with Okpioda Iosakue (chairman), Michael Oputteh (vice chairman), and Patience Ehiabhi (woman leader) frowned at Chima Ibezim’s claim to the party chairmanship.The crisis deepenfollowing a reaffirmation by stakeholders that Ugochukwu Agbala is no longer the state chairman of the party.

They made the reaffirmation in a communique issued at the end of their one day meeting held in Enugu.

The communique was signed by the immediate past speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Eugene Odoh, immediate past chairman of the APC in Enugu, Dr Ben Nwoye and other leaders of the party in all the geopolitical zones of the state.

They disclosed that they would  notify the National Working Committee through the APC  National chairman that Agballah has been removed by a court Order of a competent jurisdiction.

The stakeholders also promised to put the NWC on notice, stressing  that any resolution passed at meetings attended by Agbala is subject to litigation and voidable.

They however, passed a vote of confidence in the transformative leadership of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and endorsed him for second tenure come 2027.

“We reaffirm that Ugochukwu Agbala is not the state chairman of APC Enugu state. We will notify the National Working Committee through the APC National chairman that Agballah has been removed by a court order of a competent jurisdiction.

“Consequently, we will put the NWC on notice of the effect. Any resolution passed at such meetings attended by Barr Agbala is subject to litigation and voidable” they stated.
